Initial Bike Fit
Our approach? We analyze your position, try different adjustments, and fine-tune everything until we find what works for you. Simple as that!
Fit check
Already had a fit with us? You're in the right place!
New goals, new shoes, a little discomfort, or just want to fine-tune your position? We'll pick up right where we left off.
You, your bike, and your favorite cycling kit… we'll take care of the coffee!
For your bike fit, don't forget to bring:
- Your bike, of course!
- Your cycling kit, including your shoes and pedals.
- Your orthotic insoles, if you have some.
- Your water bottles, to stay hydrated while you ride.
And if you have them:
- Any saddles or stems you'd like to try.
- For triathlon bikes, all the adjustment adapters and accessories supplied with your bike.
Be ready to put down some watts!
Our philosophy
You're not a number.
Your bike should feel like an extension of yourself.
A proper bike fit isn't about numbers or ticking boxes. It's about you: your body, your history, your abilities, and the way you ride. No two cyclists are alike, and neither should their positions be.
With over 35 years of combined experience, our priority is simple: help you avoid pain and injury, and find a natural, smooth and efficient pedal stroke. Whether you're chasing a podium or simply enjoying the ride, we're here to help you get the most out of your bike.
We don't believe in forcing you into a textbook position. We take the time to understand what works for you, explain why, and find the right balance between comfort, efficiency and performance.
We listen. You pedal. We fine-tune.
-
First, we get to know you.
How you ride, what bothers you, your injury history, what you're hoping to improve… Tell us everything.
Previous surgeries, leg length differences or physical limitations aren't minor details. They all matter when it comes to finding the right position.
We'll also talk about mobility, core strength, pelvic stability and anything else that might affect how you feel and move on your bike.
-
You pedal. We observe.
We set up your bike on the indoor trainer and let you warm up. After all, what's a bike fit without a little pedalling?
Then we watch how you move, how you support your weight, and how you interact with your bike.
What we see matters, but what you feel matters just as much.
-
We adjust. We test. We repeat.
We make adjustments directly to your bike while you're riding, checking how each change affects your position, comfort and pedalling efficiency.
We listen to your feedback, explain what we're doing, and keep fine-tuning until we find what works best for you.
No magic numbers, no one-size-fits-all solutions. Just experience, observation and a lot of listening.
-
It doesn't end when you leave the shop.
If needed, we can try different saddles, stems or handlebars directly on your bike. We don't choose a saddle based on promises or specifications. We test it together to make sure it actually works for you.
We may also recommend exercises or stretches to help improve your mobility and pedalling efficiency.
And once you're back on the road, we want to hear how things feel. A bike fit is the beginning of a process, not the end. Listening, learning and making adjustments along the way are all part of what we do.
Understanding Your Bike Fit
The fit and your position
Your comfort, your needs, and how we work together.
What kind of discomfort can a bike fit help with?
Foot or knee pain, tingling hands, lower or upper back pain, neck tension, saddle discomfort or pressure in the perineal area — tell us what you're experiencing.
We'll look at how your position and the way you support your weight on the bike might be contributing to the problem.
Persistent pain, loss of sensation or urinary difficulties should also be assessed by a healthcare professional. A bike fit is not a substitute for medical advice.
What if I have a medical condition or a particular physical limitation?
Leg length differences, prosthetics, previous surgeries or medical conditions. We want to know it all.
We take your individual circumstances, abilities and limitations into account to find solutions together, rather than trying to fit you into a standard position.
Can I try a different saddle during my fit?
Absolutely! We have a range of saddles, stems and handlebars that we can test directly on your own bike.
Choosing a saddle isn't about picking one from a catalogue. It's about finding what actually feels right when you're riding. That's why we test saddles as part of the fitting process.
If any components need replacing, they're charged separately.
Why do you rely on observation rather than automated fitting systems?
Measurements and technology can be useful, but they don't tell the whole story.
Our approach combines years of experience, direct observation, your physical abilities, injury history and, most importantly, your feedback as we make adjustments.
We explain what we're changing and why, so you're part of the process from start to finish.
What happens after my bike fit?
Your fit is a starting point, not the end of the process.
Once you're back on the road, let us know how things feel. Your feedback matters, and your position may need further fine-tuning as you adapt.
Depending on your needs, we may also recommend mobility exercises, strengthening or stretches, and make further adjustments during a follow-up session.
