Refund policy

At Paris Bike Co, we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If an item isn't quite right, here's everything you need to know about returns and refunds.

1. Return Period

In accordance with French consumer protection laws, you have 14 days from the date you receive your order to exercise your right of withdrawal, without having to provide a reason.

Once you have notified us of your decision to withdraw, you have an additional 14 days to return the items.

2. Condition of Returned Items

Items may be handled or tried on only to the extent necessary to check their nature, characteristics, and proper functioning.

We kindly ask that returned items be:

  • Clean and carefully packaged.

  • Returned with their original tags and packaging, whenever possible.

  • Complete with all accessories and components originally supplied.

3. Clothing Returns

Cycling jerseys, bib shorts, T-shirts, socks, and other clothing items may be tried on to check their size and fit.

However, they must not be used for sporting activities before being returned.

Items showing signs of use beyond a simple fitting, including:

  • Sweat or perfume odours.

  • Stains, deodorant marks, or dirt.

  • Signs of washing.

  • Wear, friction marks, or fabric damage.

may be subject to a reduction in the refund amount corresponding to their loss in value.

This reduction may amount to the full value of the item if it has completely lost its value, provided that the loss can be objectively justified, in accordance with Article L221-23 of the French Consumer Code.

Each return will be assessed individually.

4. Return Shipping Costs

Return shipping costs are the customer's responsibility in cases of change of mind or incorrect size selection.

We recommend using a tracked shipping service and keeping proof of postage.

If the return concerns an incorrect, defective, or non-conforming product, Paris Bike Co will cover the necessary return costs in accordance with applicable statutory warranties.

5. How to Return an Item

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you can use the withdrawal feature available on our website or contact us by email at parisbikeco@gmail.com, providing:

  • Your order number.

  • The item(s) you wish to return.

  • A clear statement that you wish to withdraw from your purchase.

You may also use the standard withdrawal form provided at the end of this policy.

We will provide you with the practical instructions for returning your order.

Please do not send parcels using cash-on-delivery services.

6. Refunds

When exercising your right of withdrawal, your refund will include the price of the returned items and the original standard delivery charges where legally required.

Any additional shipping costs resulting from choosing a delivery method more expensive than our standard delivery option will not be refunded.

Refunds will be issued within 14 days of receiving your withdrawal notification. However, we may withhold the refund until we have received the returned goods or you have provided proof of having sent them back, whichever occurs first.

Refunds will be issued using the original payment method, unless another method is expressly agreed upon without additional costs.

A deduction proportional to the loss in value may apply if the items have been handled or used beyond what is necessary for inspection.

7. Exchanges

Need a different size or model?

Feel free to contact us to check availability.

To keep things simple, we recommend returning the original item and placing a new order.

Exchanges are subject to product availability.

8. Exceptions to the Right of Withdrawal

In accordance with applicable French law, certain products may be excluded from the right of withdrawal, including:

  • Products made to your specifications or clearly personalised.

  • Sealed products that are unsuitable for return due to health protection or hygiene reasons, once unsealed after delivery, provided the legal conditions for this exception are met.

Sale and discounted items remain eligible for the statutory right of withdrawal.

9. Defective or Incorrect Items

If you receive an item that is damaged, defective, or different from what you ordered, please contact us at parisbikeco@gmail.com, providing your order number and a description of the issue.

We will review your request and offer an appropriate solution in accordance with applicable statutory warranties.

Products are covered by the French legal guarantee of conformity and the warranty against hidden defects, independently of this return policy.
